Room: Carriage House, Room 10 with Karla and Smoke
At what point in canon are you pulling your character? Early in book 2, shortly after Jaenelle wakes up from the coma and Karla comes to visit -- but before the Coven and the boyos move into the Keep to be with her. She is not quite fifteen when she wakes from the coma.
Why and how is this character coming to Milieux? Her adopted father, Saetan, has heard about the more interesting aspects of Milieux. As Jaenelle is in danger and needs to heal from what has happened to her, he sends her to Milieux. She needs to get used to being around people again -- especially males.
Accompanying NPC: Smoke
Give a brief description of the NPC and why they are necessary to your character: Smoke is a good-sized gray wolf who wears the Purple Dusk jewel. He is also a Warlord Prince. The Kindred are animals who are witches or warlords or princes in their own right. They can communicate with other Kindred and with the humans that they choose to. With everything that has happened with Jaenelle and those that tried to kill her, Saetan wants Jaenelle to have some added protection so she doesn't use her Craft too much. He trusts the Kindred and he trusts Smoke to watch over his daughter -- and to let him know when his witchchild is not looking after herself properly.
